Description:
Due to the uncertainty of restrictions on gatherings, the challenges of monitoring and enforcing social distancing and the amount of advanced preparation needed, the 2020 Cattle Crossing 5K & Family Fun Trek is canceled. Thank you for your understanding. Giddy up! Grab your cowboy hat and stick horse because this event is going to make ya’ll shout YEEHAW as we celebrate the beginning of summer and Parker’s rich rural history! Join us for one of our most scenic races of the year. This western themed event will give runners the opportunity to catch a glimpse of wildlife and western attire is encouraged. Post-race pancake breakfast provided by Flippin’ Flapjacks is included with registration. Duck hunt for Family Fun Trek participants! Dogs and strollers are welcome (will need to stay to the right and single file for safety) Key Dates:

Course description:
The out and back course is part pavement and trail utilizing the Shadetail Trail and Tallman Gulch trail - west with rolling hills. The 1 mile Family Fun Trek is part concrete starting on the Shadetail Trail and transitioning to the Tallman Gulch trail - east. Parking:
Parking is directly across the street in the Legend High School north parking lots. Parking attendants will be on site to direct you.
Additional info
Kids 8 and under can participate in the free Kids' Dash after the 5K event. Registration is not required. Estimated start time is approximately 8:45 a.m. after the majority of the 5K participants have finished.
Chip Timing
Only participants in the 5K event will be chip timed.
Volunteers
If you or someone you know is interested in volunteering during the event we have many opportunities. Pancakes will be provided for all volunteers after they are done. Please sign up to volunteer using the Volunteer Connect website, The link is below: https://volunteerconnectdc.civicore.com/ Use "Town of Parker" as your organization and select the appropriate event. Registration info:
We recommend registering children under the age of five if they will be walking/running and would like a commemorative item, pancakes, race bib, a chance to win prizes, and timed results. If they will only be pushed in a stroller you do not need to register them unless they would like the options above. 5K Family Fun Trek Registration fee includes: pancakes, commemorative item (except Family Fun Trek), souvenir bib number, professionally timed results (5K only), and free downloadable event pictures. Family Fun Trekkers can try to find the rubber ducks on the trail to win an additional item!
