Cohosted and benefiting Three Rivers Waterkeeper, Pittsburgh Paddle is one of kind event with two race distances of 6 .6 or 3.6 mile out and back paddles through the heart of Steel City.
Paddlers of both the 3 and 6 milers will start at Millvale Riverfront Park and paddle down river towards "The Point."
The 3+ mile paddlers will go alongside The Strip District (a foodies heaven) looking towards downtown Pittsburgh, turning around after going under the David McCullough Bridge.
The 6+ mile paddlers will follow the same course, continuing under the McCullough Bridge, the Three Sister Bridges (Rachel Carson, Andy Warhol and the Roberto Clemente bridges), passing PNC Park (home pf the Pirates) and Acrisure Stadium (home of the Steelers and Pitt Panthers).
Paddlers will turn around at the "The Point" touching all Three Rivers (Ohio, Monogahela and Allegheny). The 6+ mile course features 11 bridges (Pittsburgh is known as the City of Bridges), several iconic city landmarks and all 3 rivers.
Both races are open to all paddle levels in any paddle boat (OCs, surfskis, SUPs, kayaks, canoes; both single and multi-person). No inflatables.
Start/finish is Millvale Riverfront Park (70 River Front Dr. Pittsburgh)
100% of registration fee is tax deductible as a charitable donation. Bay Paddle is a registered 501c3 and all proceeds from participants are donated to Three Rivers Waterkeeper.
All paddlers who register before August 8th will get a race technical t-shirt
