You're Invited: A Gathering to Remember Pete Ireland

On June 16, 2025, we lost a quiet giant of the Arkansas running community — Pete Ireland. Pete coached many, led by example, and brought a steady, humble presence wherever he went. He raced all over the country, but Sunset Lake in Benton was his home base — a place he walked, trained, and built lasting connections.

Please join us for an evening of remembrance to celebrate Pete’s life and legacy. We’ll gather to share stories, photos, and memories of the man who quietly shaped and strengthened our community.

The gathering is free to attend. Donations are being accepted to help cover the cost of this event and to fund a memorial bench at Sunset Lake in Pete’s honor. Our goal is to unveil the bench during the Sunset 6/12/24 Hour Race on November 28, 2025.
