The YWCA Alaska invites you to participate in our Race Against Racism in August. 

As the YWCA continues to advocate and education about the systemic impacts of structural racism, the Race Against Racism is a dual pronged effort to help us A, raise funds to continue our work and B, to elevate the conversation around racism in our community.

We saw a huge movement toward a better understanding of race and racism in the months and years after George Floyd's murder in the summer of 2020, but now we're again seeing the pendulum swing back toward defunding diversity efforts and thwarting campaigns for progressive planning policies. The YWCA aspires to be a leader in our community in pushing for these conversations and you can help! 

A virtual 5k or 10k means that you can start at the place where you are; simply register, and then log your time. The first 30 registrants will receive YWCA gift bundles, and we have raffle prizes including a iPad and Apple Watch!
