We’re excited to announce our next volunteer fundraising opportunity, P!nk in concert on Thursday, October 5th at SoFi Stadium!  California Triathlon volunteer opportunities at SoFi Stadium may be subject to cancelation based on availability of concession stand placements for nonprofit organizations.

Note: Event logistics including required training (can be completed online) will be provided closer to the event date. The times currently listed are an approximation for the event. 

Over the years, California Triathlon volunteers have helped us raise thousands of dollars for our nonprofit, money we would not otherwise have received, that underwrites our efforts to grow participation in triathlon.  We’ve brought our volunteers to concerts and sporting events at the Rose Bowl and the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum to staff concession stands (selling beer, alcohol, and food, earning a percentage of the sales), including Rams home games through the 2019 season.  After sitting out the 2020-2021 season, we returned to fundraising at SoFI Stadium, starting with the Super Bowl in February 2022.  Since then we've brought our volunteers to work at various concerts (Paul McCartney, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Taylor Swift) and sporting events (NFL football, the College Football Championship Game).  Now that we are back in the rotation for events at SoFi Stadium, we can bring our volunteers to concerts, NFL games, and other events. 

Here are your top reasons to volunteer with California Triathlon:

• Support California Triathlon’s Mission: California Triathlon helps grow the sport of triathlon by offering free membership, group training, coaching and other resources.  However, we need to raise money to support our programs.  The money we raise through volunteering underwrites our programs to encourage and empower youth participation in triathlon.  Do it for the kids and for the future of this (multi) sport that we all love!
• Team Building: Make new friends and training partners. Work together to prepare, stock, and serve the thirsty masses!
• Experience the Event from Inside: We’re working but we can still see and hear what happens inside the stadium hours before the gates open and during the event.
• Race for Free: As a thank you for your time and effort, Cal Tri Events is kicking in a free race entry good for any of our 2023 or 2024 races (including Los Angeles, Sonoma, Newport Dunes, Ventura and more).  You can use the entry yourself or give it to a friend.
     

Volunteering is open to California Triathlon members as well as family and friends (18+ please).  

Please note that an online training course is required since we will be serving and selling alcohol. It takes 3-4 hours to complete and you must pass the California Responsible Beverage Server exam at the end to earn a certification that's good for 3 years. There's also a $3 fee.     

Last minute cancellations and no shows leave our remaining crew in a difficult position at the event and with our venue partners so please don’t sign up unless you’re serious about attending.
