Description:

Flat and fast 5K with a sweet ending featuring all things FUDGE! Join fellow runners and walkers to raise money for health in rural Nepal. Produced by Colorado Nepal Alliance and Shoes for Sherpas to benefit their women's health camp in Nepal (October 2019).

Course description:

The USATF certified course begins and ends on the east side of Lowry's Great Lawn Park, and runs north into the Kelly Open Space.  The majority of the course is on cement sidewalk, but some of the open space has a gravel path.

Directions to start:

Start and Finish are on the east side of the Great Lawn Park (Lowry).

Parking:

There is no parking at Great Lawn Park; you will need to park on the street or at InnovAge (8950 E. Lowry Blvd 80230).  This map shows streets that allow public parking.  Please consider car pooling, and allow 10-15 minutes to walk to the race start.  Do not park at Colorado Film School or the streets next to it, they are on private property.  Do not park at Big Bear Ice Arena or Machebeuf High School, they are not allowing special event parking.

Awards info:

Awards will be given to the top overall male and female finishers (1st-3rd place).  First place male and first place female finishers in the following age groups will also get awards:

19 & under
20-29
30-39
40-49
50-59
60-69
70+

Cancellation Policy:

In the event of extreme or unsafe conditions on race day, the 5K may be altered or canceled.  Specifically, when weather or other physical conditions present a danger to participants as a whole, we will maintain the right to cancel the race. Less threatening conditions could result in an alteration of the course or race length to promote a more safe result for the participants. These conditions will not result in the refunding of race entry fees or future race credits.

T-shirts

T-shirt pickup on race day is only guaranteed if you register online by 4/28/2019.  If you register after that date, your size may or may not be available on race day.  If you register after 4/28/2019: shirts will be available first come first serve. We will be putting in an additional printing order after the race, and you are welcome to pick up your shirt (in Central Denver) when it arrives, if your desired size is not available on race day.

 

Packet pickup:

Early Packet Pickup: Friday May 10th 3pm-7pm. Runner's Roost Denver (1685 S Colorado Blvd J, Denver, CO 80222)

Race Day: Available starting at 7:30 am
Walk-up registration is available on Friday at early packet pickup and Saturday morning at the event, beginning at 7:30am.  

Registration info:

Registration fees include t-shirt, goody bag, and fudgy sweetness after the race!  Onsite registration opens at 7:30 am on race day.
