FUNDRAISING

Fortuna Tierra Club is sponsoring the 7th Annual Log Hill Hustle on August 28, 2022. This 5K/10K fun run/walk helps us provide much needed scholarships for Ridgway High School current and former graduates. Thanks to our participants, volunteers, donors and sponsors, we were able to award $15,500 in scholarships this year.

Fortuna also funds purchases of educational materials and equipment to enhance student learning in K-12.

Course Description:

The race begins and ends at Divide Ranch and Club at 151 Divide Ranch Circle. The 5K and 10K routes wind through beautiful Divide Ranch roads, offering breathtaking views of the San Juan Mountains and the Cimmaron ranges. The course features a water station, volunteer support, clearly marked turns, fully paved roads, course monitors and gently rolling hills.

The course is designed to satisfy both competitive and recreational runners.

Both races will have accurate chip timing by RM Timing.

Runners/walkers/strollers welcome! Please NO dogs or bikes.

This event is sanctioned through USA Track & Field.

Directions to start:

The start is located at Divide Ranch and Club Clubhouse (151 Divide Ranch Circle, Ridgway). Divide Ranch Circle is accessible from County Road 1 coming from either Ridgway or Colona.

Parking:

Parking will be at the Divide Ranch and Club mailboxes and overflow parking along a dirt road off North Badger Trail (0.2 miles to the clubhouse). Come early to get the best parking spaces. Car-pooling is highly recommended. Parking attendants will be on site. We also have a holding area for personal belongings you may want to store before the race and pick up after the race.

We award 1st and 2nd place to men's and women's categories in these age groups:

0-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

5k and 10k courses are NOT race certified, but are approximately 3.1 miles and 6.2 miles.

Accurate chip timing at the finish.

Continental breakfast items will be served after the event.

Awards and door prizes will be presented after the races.

The Divide Ranch Club will provide discounts to racers for food and beverages.

Teacher Students: $15 through 8/24; Teacher/Students: $20 as of 8/25.
