Event description:
The 16th Annual Rocky Mountain Lab Rescue 5k & Fun Run is a family and dog friendly event that will be held at Great Lawn Park in Denver, CO on Saturday September 14, 2024. There will be various routes outlined from a short loop to a full 5k. Bring your dog-friendly dog, family, and friends to walk or run, visit our sponsors and partake in some fun! Note: This is not a timed race. If you aren't able to come to the in-person event, there is the Virtual option. You will receive your race goodie bag by mail prior to race day so that you can run, walk, hike (or even sleep in) the day of to show your support! Enter pictures of your "Virtual Run" into our photo contests to be considered for various prizes. The first 250 registrants will receive a goodie bag filled with lots of swag for you and your dog! We will have great raffle prizes for those attending the event in-person as well as prizes for the photo contest for virtual participants. The Rocky Mountain Lab Rescue was founded in 2007 and is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We work to find new "forever" homes for Labrador Retrievers and Lab Mixes. Most of our labs come to Colorado from out of state shelters and rescues. All of our dogs live in foster homes where they receive lots of love and attention. Course Description:
For in-person participants at Great Lawn Park, there are different courses to choose from depending on how far you would like to go. The longest option will be a 5k. If you are participating as a virtual racer, you can choose your own course. This is not a timed race.

The first 250 participants that select a goodie bag as part of their registration will receive ~$20+ in toys, samples, treats, and coupons for dogs & their humans There will be 5-10 prizes to give away participants attending the event in-person. This will be a random drawing, and everyone at the park can pick up a free ticket. There will also be 5 prizes given away to virtual participants. Your race shirt must be worn in the photo to be eligible for the prize. You can send us your photos via Facebook, Instagram, or e-mail. Categories include (and more will be added): 1. Most Scenic 5k 2. Cutest Lab or Lab Mix Participant 3. Cutest RMLR Alumni Dog 4. Cutest Non-Lab Participant (we love all dogs!) 5. Biggest Pack Participation (humans & dogs)

Packet pickup:
If you are attending in-person, you will pick up your race packet at the event. If you are attending virtually, we will mail it to you!
