Receive payments directly to your own bank account
by using your payment processor - save on processing fees!
A payment processor is a company (often a third party) that handles credit card transactions for merchant acquiring banks. Payment processors have connections to various card associations and supply authorization and settlement services to the merchant banks’ merchants (which is you). Back-end processors accept settlements from front-end processors and, via The Federal Reserve Bank, move the money from the issuing bank to the merchant bank.
When an order is placed on Running Guru, the order is submitted to the payment processor (we use Authorize.net) who checks the details received by forwarding them to the respective card’s issuing bank or card association for verification, and carries out a series of anti-fraud measures against the transaction. The short answer is no. Running Guru provides payment processing as part of our normal services and our payment processor is Authorize.NET. When you use any of our services that accept online payments, we handle the online transaction and we send payments to you based on payment options you configure.
The best answer is to ask your accountant or your bank. If you setup a payment processing account, online payments made on Running Guru are deposited directly into your bank account. Bank and processing fees are paid by you and are taken out of each transaction. In addition there may be setup and maintenance fees and your fees depend on such factors as your business type, transaction volume and credit rating. Typical fees for payment processing are 3%, but actual fees depend on your account.
In addition, you are responsible for handling chargebacks and returns, a service Running Guru provides when you don't use your own payment processor.
When you use your own payment processor, Running Guru waives all credit card processing fees since these are now paid via your payment processor account. Please consult our pricelist for details on the fee structure when you use your own payment processor.
Consult your accountant or bank representative to setup a payment processing account. Here are a few merchants you can contact, click each for details:
Once you setup a payment processing account, add the payment process to your Running Guru account so payments will go directly to your bank account...this is all explained when you login to your race director account. Running Guru then bills you for our service fees per our pricelist.
