When Michael was born, we knew he was different. When Michael was 15 months old, he had his first seizure. Being a young mom, it was hard to witness his little body convulsing and him being blue around his mouth, struggling to breath. He has gone on to have many seizures, full of scary experiences such as respiratory arrest, and a few close calls where I though I was saying goodbye in the ambulance ride. We've been told the more he has, the more likely epilepsy will take his life. Our family has chosen to take a stand against epilepsy and our raising money for the Chelsea Hutchinson Foundation. November is Epilepsy Awareness month. It is time we all stand up to this horrible disease that affects so many people!
