2013 Colorado Symphony 5K Run/Walk

2013 Colorado Symphony 5K Run/Walk

•  COLORADO SYMPHONY KIDS:  Colorado Symphony Kids works with more than 400 schools each year to deliver exciting and academically-relevant music education to more than 38,000 students K-12 from communities across the Front Range. Colorado Symphony Kids uses stimulating symphonic performances combined with pertinent, engaging education materials to enhance the learning process and catalyze critical thinking in participating students. Experiencing live symphonic music stimulates the imagination and instills a passion for creativity in students, and the integrated education curriculum ties the experience to state learning standards for Social Studies, Science, Visual Arts and Music.  Colorado Symphony Kids programming costs only $5 for each participating student. Scholarship and transportation assistance is available to schools with a significant percentage of Title I students.

•  CONCERT PROGRAMS:  The Colorado Symphony’s 2013/14 season presents a wealth of world-class artistry performed by the region’s only full-time professional orchestra. Whether your preference is Masterworks, Pops, Holiday, Classic Rock, Film or Family, audiences will experience the superb performances of some of the nation’s most outstanding musicians, propelled by the vibrant energy and influence of the Symphony’s internationally renowned Artistic Advisor, Andrew Litton. Playing more than 150 concerts throughout the year, the orchestra’s dynamic and innovative programming appeals to all demographics, making it a true orchestra of the city.

•  COMMUNITY OUTREACH: The Colorado Symphony regularly offers free community concerts for populations in the greater Metro Denver area. Concerts include: Martin Luther King, Jr. Humanitarian Awards and Concert; Cinco de Mayo Festival; El Grito Celebration (Mexican Independence Day); and Independence Eve at Civic Center Park.
