JUL18 |
After a successful event in 2018, the 5.30 team brings their lifestyle event concept to Brighton again.
In the early morning of Friday 19 July, hundreds of lucky participants will take to the streets of Brighton whilst the city is still asleep. The unique 5.3k course will start from New Road, pass across the Lanes, through the sea-front and back for a glorious finish through the Royal Pavillion park.
At the end of the event, participants will enjoy a healthy breakfast with local seasonal fruits.
A BIT OF HISTORY
5.30 was created by designer Sergio Bezzanti and nutritionist Sabrina Severi in Modena, Italy in 2009. The idea was to promote a healthy lifestyle through regular physical activity and eating well.
The 5.3k walk/run happens at 5.30 in the morning of a business day in the town centre. Run 5.30 is an event that encourages positive emotions and aims at improving the quality of life of its participants by:
- Increasing their awareness of the benefits of exercising and eating healthy foods
- Showing that an earlier start of the day allows to fit in exercise without impacting the working day
- Allowing to experience the city in a brand new (early morning) light
- Making exercise fun and interactive with a really positive group of people encouraging each other
BUT... WHY AT 5.30 IN THE MORNING?
WHAT DO I RECEIVE WITH THE ENTRY?
CHARITY PARTNER
5.30 Brighton will donate £1 for each entry to Sussex-based children's charity Rockinghorse. Last year the event helped raise almost £1,500, here you can read more about it.
All participants will enjoy a special offer night stay at My Brighton hotel (Jubilee Street). You will receive a code in your confirmation email once registered.
