The Dart for the Arts 5k is an event to support the Young Artists Alliance based in Thornton, Colorado. Funds raised help to provide programs for young artists in our community, including workshops, master classes, a summer chorale, and performing and visual art opportunities. Young Artists Alliance has provided excellent art and music performance competitions and programming in the region for two decades.
Those registered after Sept. 5 will not receive a “Dart for the Arts” T-shirt. A T-shirt can be ordered for $20 on race day and will be mailed to you.
The 5k course will start and end in the south parking lot at Carpenter Park (turn west from Colorado Blvd at E 108th Ave). The course winds through the park on a dirt path, a paved path, and fine gravel next to pavement.
The Kids 1k Fun Run will start on the gravel path west of the south parking lot and loop around the path back to the pavement to finish in the parking lot.
The course is USATF certified.

Please park in the Carpenter Park south parking lot, south of the Carpernter Recreation Center. Turn west from Colorado Blvd. at 108th Avenue. There will be signs directing you to parking.

Did you know that Beethoven's 5th Symphony is about 33 minutes in length in its entirety? At the Dart for the Arts this year, we will be playing Beethoven's 5th Symphony beginning at the same time as the starting gun. Come and see if you can finish the entire 5k course before the music stops! Can YOU beat Beethoven?
Packet pickup will be the morning of the race near the start/finish line in the south parking lot at Carpenter Park starting at 8 am.
