Description:

What: 2nd annual Fremont Adventure Recreation Farm-to-Table 5Mile Run & Dinner, a 4-lap run showcasing the historic farmland and current agricultural offerings of Cañon City’s growers and culinary artists.

When: Saturday, August 17th, 2019 from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm 

Where: Fun run start / finish and dinner at The Winery at Holy Cross Abbey

Cost: $30 per person ($25 youth or no wine) - includes run entry, commemorative reusable shopping bag, light dinner, four wine sample pairings, and entertainment. $25 for spectator meals. Run only for just $15.

Course description:

Participants will run four 1.25-mile loops around historic agricultural land surrounding the Winery at Holy Cross Abbey and Abbey properties. This is a closed course and is on private land.

Directions to start:

The starting line for each lap (whether each team member runs or one individual completes four laps) is at the Winery at Holy Cross Abbey's tasting room parking lot.

Parking:

Please park at the Abbey Event Center's parkin area and walk to the Winery at Holy Cross Abbey's tasting room lawn area. Please also considering carpooling to the event.

Awards info:

Awards will be given to first-place finishers in each of the four categories: Men's 18 & Under, Men's 19+, Women's 18 & Under, Women's 19+. An award will also be given to the first place team.

Additional info

We are excited to bring a farm-to-table event to life for the second year. Chefs and bakers from the area will be providing their menu choices in the next month. Particpants are welcome to bring food items to supplement their meal, but NO OUTSIDE ALCOHOL WILL BE ALLOWED. Bags may be subject to search. In addition to the four 1-oz. pours, wine will also be available for sale at the event.

Packet pickup:

Packet pickup will begin at 4:30 pm at the Winery at Holy Cross Abbey's tasting room. There will be NO pre-event packet pickup.
