Description:
Endurance Cross Country Camp is a high-altitude running camp hosted by Fort Lewis College Cross Country and Track coach Josh Coon that features training and racing insights for high school runners. It is designed to spark growth both physically and mentally: You will be pushed! We will meet in Durango, CO, at 10:00am on Sunday, 6/16; transportation to the lodge and around the mountains will be provided; we will return to Durango, CO by 12:00pm on Thursday 6/20. This camp is presented by Joshua Coon and Fort Lewis College Cross Country and Track and Field Joshua Coon – Head Cross Country Coach at Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO, a NCAA Division II school in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. He holds a B.A. in Exercise Science, an M.A. in Counseling and is finishing coursework toward a PhD in Exercise Science and Sports Psychology. The camp is based at the Cascade Lodge, outside Durango, Colorado. You will sleep and train high (9100 ft elevation), meet and train with other passionate runners, hike some of Durango’s epic mountain trails, study training, learn from experienced athletes and coaches, set both physical and mental growth goals, and have a great time running fast!
Each day at camp will feature morning and evening workouts (tailored to the fitness and experience of each runner), educational clinics hosted by experts in their fields, and a variety of activities designed to develop teamwork, camaraderie, and fun in the mountains.

Athlete check-in will occur at Fort Lewis College 9:00-10:00am on Sunday, 6/16/19.
Physical and Insurance
Please bring a photocopy of your sports physical (within the last calendar year) and your health insurance card when you arrive at checkin. Alternatively, you may email both documents as PDF's to Kaila Coon at kailajc08@gmail.com
