Join grassroots cultural performers, local runners, walkers and wheelers for the the 25th Annual Aztlan 5K Classic Run/Walk at the historic East Los Angeles College on November 28th, 2015. This is a 5k for everyone, so bring your family and friends; it’s a day to enjoy the outdoors, challenge yourselves, be entertained and support various great causes. 

This year we will have Tierra performing live after the event at our holiday music festival! Sign up for the Concert and Run.

This fundraising run/walk event spectacular will share proceeds with the following agencies:

  • East Los Angeles College running programs.
  • Charles R. Drew University School of Medicine & Science scholarship programs.
  • Aztlan Athletics Foundation

Course description:

Fast and flat. This historic event will take place on the East Los Angeles College campus. It will start and finish inside the historic Olympic Stadium, site for some of the 1984 Olympic events.

The concert will be hosted at the ELAC Garden, just East of the Stadium. Please bring your tickets as confirmation.

Same-Day registration and packet pickup starts at 3:00P.M. - 4:45P.M. Race starts at 5:00 P.M.

Packet pickup on race day only. We apologize for those who came for packet pickup the night before, it was an error on the communications.

Booth set-up starts at 2:00P.M. on November 27, 2015; On Friday November 27, set-up starts at 6:00P.M.

Anime Costume Party:

At approximately 8:45P.M. All 5k Run/Walk registrants will be able to participate in the first annual costume Anime party! Voting will take place during the run/walk (5:00P) and at 8:30P during the opening of the DJ and band performers at 8:45P.M. Note that ending time of the music festival and Dj subject to change without notification. 
Top 3 costumes will be acknowledged and awarded". Have fun and enjoy the various food trucks and booths. 
You must register and pay for the run/walk in order to also have access and be part of Anime costume festival party starting at 8:45P. Enjoy the Tierra concert between 6:30-8:30PM!

Packet pickup:

Packet pickup available day of the event 2 hours prior to the start of the event. Look for our Pre-Registration booth, for race packet pickup which will include t-shirt and BIB number.
