What is a carousel?

A Carousel is a group of images presented one at a time in a navigation frame. The carousel automatically scrolls through each image in the order you specify and includes next and previous links to manually scroll through images.

Why would I used a carousel?

A carousel is a great way to add animation and excitement to your page. In addition, you can feature key content and images and provide a very professional, modern, and lively user experience.

You can change the carousel content as often as you'd like to keep your page fresh and visitors engaged.

What are the key features of a carousel?

  • Add unlimited images; carousel rotates through images automatically
  • Next and previous links allow manual scrolling through images
  • Optionally add captions and buttons with links that appear on top of each image
  • Set the opacity or transparency of the caption box
  • Set the color of the caption box and each button
  • Include animated gifs for added excitement!

 

How do I create a carousel?

To create a carousel, login and go to My Account, Tools, Carousel (or click here) and follow the instructions.

In addition, when using our tools to edit your website, event page, and fundriasing pages, you will see a Carousel link in the left column. Use this to create a carousel and add it to any of your pages.

How do I add a carousel to my event page?

  1. After you create a carousel (see above for creating a carousel) do the following:
  2. Go to My Account, Event Management, Event Registration and edit your event.
  3. Navigate to the event page where you want to add the carousel (in our Demo event we added a carousel in the Description field, click here to see the Demo Event).
  4. In the left column click the link Plugins. This opens the Plugins window.
  5. In the Plugins window, select Carousel from the Plugin Type field.
  6. From the list of Carousels, select the carousel you'd like to add to your event.
  7. The following image appears, drag and drop this image into the field in your event where you want the carousel.
  8. Save the event page you are editing.
  9. Click the Preview Event link and verify the carousel is displayed.

  How do I add a carousel to my website?

  1. After you create a carousel (see above for creating a carousel) do the following:
  2. Go to My Account, Website Management and edit your website.
  3. In the left column select Custom Pages and select or create the custom page where you want to add the carousel (in our Demo event we added a carousel in a Carousel page, click here to see the that page).
  4. In the left column click the link Plugins. This opens the Plugins window.
  5. In the Plugins window, select Carousel from the Plugin Type field.
  6. From the list of Carousels, select the carousel you'd like to add to your website.
  7. The following image appears, drag and drop this image into the website custom page where you want the carousel.
  8. Save the custom page.
  9. Click the Preview Custom Page link or Preview Website link and verify the carousel is displayed.

How do I add a carousel to my fundraising page?

  1. After you create a carousel (see above for creating a carousel) do the following:
  2. Go to My Account, Fundraising Pages and edit your fundraising page.
  3. Navigate to the fundraising page where you want to add the carousel (in our Demo event we added a carousel in the Description field, click here to see the Demo Event).
  4. In the left column click the link Plugins. This opens the Plugins window.
  5. In the Plugins window, select Carousel from the Plugin Type field.
  6. From the list of Carousels, select the carousel you'd like to add to your fundraising page.
  7. The following image appears, drag and drop this image into the field in your fundraising page where you want the carousel.
  8. Save the fundraising page you are editing.
  9. Click the Preview Fundraising Page link and verify the carousel is displayed.
