The Marc Jr. Foundation is offering parents and doctors who have to face DIPG Cancer a "First Place to Go"! We offer financial assistance with co-pays, diet and any other unexpected costs which are incurred for treatment for their child, treatments that are not covered by health insurance; and, more than there is room to list here!
In the United States, there are approximately 300 new pediatric cases a year, and it appears to be on the rise. Over 90% of these children will NOT live longer than 18 months from diagnosis. Survival is rare. While millions of dollars have been poured into various cancers which have survival rates ranging between 50-90%, very little money is provided for DIPG for which there is currently no known cure. It has been suggested that a cure for DIPG might result in a cure for almost every other type of cancer.
