Description: Get out your costumes, dress up your little monsters and dogs and come out for the THRILLING 13th annual Scream Scram 5K Run/Walk presented by Sam's Club. Race through Washington Park in costume (if you choose) and support Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver. It is sure to be a real scream! Prizes will be awarded for top runners and best costumes. Kids will love the 100M Spooky Sneak, a race designed just for them. Everyone is invited to walk the orange carpet beginning at 5:15 p.m. for our costume contest.

Course description: Enjoy a beautiful autumn evening on the winding course through Wash Park.
   
Directions to start: Starting line is located near the SE corner of Wash Park.
   
Parking: Parking is available around the perimeter of the park.
   
Awards info: Awards will be given to the top three male and female runners. Those who come in costume and are judged on the orange carpet will be eligible for costume contest prizes.

Kids of all ages, adults, seniors, families, corporate teams and dogs are all invited to take part in this fun Halloween tradition. Costumes are encouraged and categories include Best Individual, Best Family, Best Group (minimum of 4 team members), Best Child and Best Pet. Chip Timing If you wish to be timed, you can pick up a timing chip on event day, near the registration tents. You must wear the chip during the event to be scored. Chips must be returned at the finish line or participant will incur a $30 penalty.
   
Packet pickup:

Packet pickup will begin starting at 4:45 p.m. on race day at registration, located near the start line.
