Description:
Parks & trails make your life extraordinary! Celebrate National Parks & Recreation Month during the month of July by participating in Saturday fun runs. Each Saturday will feature a different course and distance somewhere in the South Suburban Recreation District. Participate in one, 2, 3 or all 4 days (one fee includes all!). All participants will receive a short sleeve tech shirt and be entered into prize drawings each time they participate. These fun runs will not be timed, they can be done at your own pace; walkers, joggers, runners, dogs and strollers welcome. Course maps will be provided at each run, and water, coffee and snacks will be provided at the conclusion of each run. Shirts will be distributed at the last run, Saturday July 28.
Dates are Saturdays, July 7, 14, 21 and 28. Course details:
Saturday, July 7: Park at Homestead Elementary School, 7451 S. Homestead Parkway Centennial 80112; route will be 4 miles through Willow Spring and Holly Open Spaces.
Saturday, July 14: Park at Milliken Park, 6445 S. Clarkson St. Centennial 80121; route will be an out and back 4-miles (longer if you wish!) through deKoevend and Cherry Knolls Parks (along the High Line Canal Trail).
Saturday, July 21: Park at Cook Creek Pool, 8711 Lone Tree Parkway Lone Tree 80124; route will be 5 miles through Sweetwater Park to Willow Creek Park and back (along the Willow Creek Trail).
Saturday, July 28: Park at Writer's Vista Park, 1900 W. Mineral Ave Littleton 80120; choose from a 5 mile or 7.8 mile course along the Mary Cary Greenway, Lee Gulch and High Line Canal Trails.
Completed registrations are non-refundable. We will do whatever we can to hold the events in any weather conditions.
NO REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER FRIDAY, JULY 20.
