RACE START TIME IS 9AM!
RACE DAY REGISTRATION OPENS AT 7:45AM
This year is our 6th Annual Rocky Mountain Lab Rescue 5K, held at the Community Park in Louisville. This is a family & dog friendly 5K event and all money raised goes straight back to the dogs that RMLR rescues.
Rocky Mountain Lab Rescue was started in 2007 and is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization for the rescue and rehabilitation of Labrador Retrievers. Our mission is to place our dogs in new loving homes for the remainder of their lives. Our labs come from in-state and out-of-state shelters, puppy mills that have been shut down, out of state rescues who have no room, and owner surrenders.
We are a group of volunteers who want to make a difference. We want to help educate the public on the importance of spaying and neutering their pets and teaching the public that it is better to adopt and save a life than to buy from a pet store or an unprofessional breeder. These animals are so loving, forgiving, and loyal, yet rely on us for their safety. We just want to give that back to them. All of our dogs go into a foster home for evaluation before being put up for adoption into a new home rather than a shelter. Please join us in the fight to get more and more dogs adopted and less and less put to sleep.
