This years registration can be purchased with cash or credit card. We ask that you bring cash because the less money we spend in fees, the more we can give to deserving military charitities! On site ATMs are available.

Description: The 4th Annual Denver Veterans Day 5K, on November 10th, 2012, is a memorial race on Denver's scenic Auraria Campus. The DVD5Ks mission is to celebrate Veterans Day the way Veterans would want to most; by running!

The event is hosted by the Cadet Community Leadership Association in coordination with The City of Denver, and the Auraria Higher Education Center (AHEC). The DVD5K event begins at 8:00am and ends by 9:30 to accommodate travel to the Denver Veterans Day Parade at 10:00, which starts just blocks away from the finish line. After the parade there will be a memorial roll call at the Colorado Veterans Monument located at 14th and Lincoln. Following the reading there will be a celebration at Civic Center Park put on by the Mayors office. To wrap the night up, the Auraria Campus will be hosting evening events with fun family activities and a spectacular firework show.

With registration for the DVD5K you will be entitled to free parking at the 7th street parking garage or the Pepsi Centers lot for the entire days activities. You will also receive a unique race day T-shirt, race bag, and goodies from our sponsors.

Denver Veterans Day 5K proceeds directly benefit the Russell B. Rippetoe Foundation. The Russell B. Rippetoe Foundation is an organization that awards collegiate scholarships in honor of CPT Russell Rippetoe, a fallen Ranger Officer and graduate of Metropolitan State University Army ROTC program. If you cannot make the date but still wish to donate to the cause that can be done using our donation page as well!

Course description: The course is a single scenic lap through the downtown Auraria Campus across from the Pepsi Center near Speer Blvd.
   
Parking: Free parking is provided on the Auraria Campus at the parking structure on the corner of 7th st and Lawrence Way.
   
Awards info: Awards will be given to the male and female winning runner. Boulder Running Company will also be graciously awarding a new pair of running shoes to the male and female winner!

Registration info:

The race fees will be $35 for non-veterans, $25 for veterans, and kids under 12 are free to participate without t-shirt (email race director for info on youth t-shirts). All racers registered before November 1st are guaranteed a DVD5K moisture wicking tee shirt and timing chip. Tee shirts will be on sale day of race for those who would like to commemorate this event. Day of registrants Tee shirts will be on a first-come first-serve basis!
