Join Olympic Gold Medalist, Frank Shorter at the 4th annual Frank Shorter RACE4Kids' Health 5K and Healthy Kids' Expo. Help spread the message, "Healthy is the New Happy for Kids!" Proceeds benefit Healthy Learning Paths, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit partnership of medical and educational professionals, who empower children with wellness strategies for success in health, learning, and life. Your participation brings our Be Well, Learn Well school wellness programs to more Colorado children.
This is more than a 5K, it's a movement for the health of all kids. Don't miss the Healthy Kids' Expo before and after the race where kids and families experience FUN, health activities from local businesses!
Alex's 1K honors Alexander Welch and promotes education to prevent meningococcal disease. This is a FREE walk/run for the entire family. Other FREE events include the favorite Diaper Dash and Applebee's Buzz! Look out for the Bee buzzing around the arena of the 1STBANK CENTER. Bring your family for friendly competitions, prizes, and surprises for the young and young at heart.

Course description:
Beautiful 5K route in Broomfield around 1STBANK CENTER area.
The 5K and Alex's 1K start outside on the street on the West side of the
1STBANK CENTER. All races finish inside the arena of the 1STBANK CENTER!
The Diaper Dash and Applebee's Buzz start and finish inside the arena of
the 1STBANK CENTER.
Parking:
FREE Parking is available in the parking structure (RTD). Volunteers and police will direct participants to enter through the North entrance off Transit Way.

Top overall male and female receive medals, $250 cash prize, and gift
2nd and 3rd overall male and female receive medals, gift certificates, and prizes
Top three male and female in each age category as follows: 8 & Under, 9 - 13, 14 - 19, 20 - 29, 30 - 39, 40 - 49, 50 - 59, 60-69, 70 & Over receive race medals, gift, and gift cards
Top overall Team (teams are comprised of four people with combined fastest time)
Top winning teams will win medals and $200 to donate to the nonprofit of their choice.

Healthy Kids' Expo, Alex's 1K, Buzz, and Diaper Dash are FREE(without T-shirt)!
