Join us for this inaugural event as the urban myth of Cops and Robbers now becomes the Urban Legend Cops and Robbers 5k Road Chase! Do you think you can catch your robber?! The Robbers escape the Roo Bar Start Line at 5:58 p.m. Three minutes later, at 6:01 p.m., the Cops sound the alarm and give chase! If the Cop doesn't catch his Robber, he finds himself captive at the Roo Bar Finish Line!
Don't get caught sleeping OR slipping for this event! Register in pairs - one Cop and one Robber - or register as a single and meet YOUR Cop or Robber at the Roo Bar Finish Line!!!
Official all-day Packet Pick-up Party at the scene of the crime, the Roo Bar, 3480 Park Avenue, on Thursday, September 23, from 11 am-9 pm, with special prices and discounts for all Cops AND Robbers!
On Friday night, after the Chase, join the Post-Chase Warden Party - see who was caught, who's on the lamb, and which Cops are now being held in the Official Cops and Robbers Detention Center at the Roo Bar, under the care of Warden JZ!
The Chase begins and ends at the Roo Bar Detention Center Start Line, right along the Platte River Drive at Park Avenue and Globeville Road. Quickly, Robbers escape behind the Riverfront Lofts, slipping stealthily beneath the Park Avenue Bridge, up a steep embankment, and off to the flat, high-speed trail along the Platte River Trail! This is where they will either evade capture or be caught and dragged back to the scene of the crime, the Roo Bar Finish Line!!!
Directions to start:
On the northwest side of Park Avenue, the other side of Lodo, off I-25 Park Avenue exits, at Park Avenue West and Globeville Road, at 3480 Park Avenue West, in the same parking lot as Starbucks and the Riverfront Lofts, across from Conoco, GO TO THE ROO BAR!
Google it, Mapquest it, scratch it on the wall of your cell with a paper clip it you have to, BUT GET THERE!!!!!!!
