Description:
The Blue Sky Marathon will start and end at the Blue Sky Trailhead at Horsetooth Mountain Park in Fort Collins, CO.
The marathon route will run between Horsetooth Mountain Park and the Devil's Backbone Open Space with approximately 3,300ft of vertical gain. The majority of the trail is single track with a variety of terrain ranging from smooth dirt paths to very technical rocky sections. A small portion of the route will be on smooth dirt road and gravel bike path.
All entrants will receive a Smart Wool hat. All finishers who complete the marathon within the official 7 hour time limit will receive a unique finisher award.

Parking:
We will have limited parking at the Blue Sky trailhead for full carpools on a first-come first-serve basis. Parking for all other participants and spectators will be located in the marina parking lot off of Shoreline Drive. Race participants will not be required to pay the park day use fee.
Awards info:
Awards will be presented to the top male and female overall finishers and top male and female age group winners (0-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+)
Packet pickup:
Visit our website for information on the Saturday packet pickup schedule. 5:30am-6:30am: Marathon check-in at the Blue Sky Trailhead. You MUST check-in on race morning to be officially entered into the race.
Registration info:
Early registration is $75 through July 31st, 2012 and will increase to $80 on August 1st, 2012. The Marathon will be limited to 250 entrants. Refer to our website for our complete transfer policy and instructions.
