One of the most beautiful courses in Colorado. Half path/half alpine mountain trail. Loop course with start/finish near Base Village, Snowmass. Follows scenic Brush Creek and Owl Creek Trails, and the entire Tom Blake Trail (mostly single tract alpine mountain trail with spectacular veiws and shallow stream crossing). Runners/Walkers will be rewarded for conqueering strenuous climbs and steep descents. Proceeds to benefit Aspen Homeless Shelter. USATF certified.
Best of both worlds. Half path/Half alpine mountain trail. The mountain goats will compete on equal footing with the road runners!
Course will be a loop starting/finishing in the heart of Base Village Courtyard. The course will follow scenic Brush Creek/Village Way and Owl Creek paths to the beautiful Tom Blake Trail (a mostly single track alpine mountain trail with a shallow stream crossing). Runners will then proceed down the Vista Trail, past the midstation of the gondola, finishing over the ski bridge into Base Village. Runners will be rewarded for overcoming strenuous climbs and steep descents at altitude with spectacular views from far above the Town of Snowmass Village.
Start is on the North exit of the Base Village Transit Center (just below "The Tree House" on Snowmelt/Carriage way.
Free parking in Base Village garage all summer!
First overall male and female (dinner for 2 to Edge)
Age group awards to top three in age groups: 15 and under, 16-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-69, 70+
All 10K participants/volunteers eligible for great drawing/door prizes! (Some examples of raffle prizes last year included: Aspen Ski Co lift tickets (2 sets), Accomdations and breakfast for 2 at Viceroy, Blazing Adventures gift certificate, autographed copy of Ryan Hall's "Running with Joy", Road IDs, La Sportiva shoes, Northface water packs, Tokens for free Taster;'s Pizza slices, and much more!).
Finish under our 20 foot inflatable arch.
Post-race awards /raffle at Base Camp Bar & Grill
Note: we have decided to offer a non-t-shirt commemorative item this year in the goodie bags (running hat). There will be a limitted number of last year's shirt available for sale on race day. All proceeds to benefit the Aspen Homeless Shelter.
If you wish to be timed, your chip will be issued at packet pickup. You must wear the chip durring the event to be scored. Return you chip at the finnish to avoid a penalty.
Kid's Fun Run
We'll have a short kid's non-competatie fun run with a prize for all the participants. Distance will depend on age of runners.

In person registeration and packet pickup on Friday June 29th in Snowmass Village - in the Buttermilk Room of the Base Village Conference Center (adjacent to the Treehouse/below Sneaky's) from 5 to 7 PM and on race morning from 7 to 8:45. In person registration on Race day morning will be $40.
