Description:

The 2017 Colorado Cup Snowshoe Championship is an exciting set of races for family, friends, teams, experts, and novices. The race will traverse through the trails around Colorado Mountain College.

Awards will go to the top three male and female finishers in all of the sprint races, boys and girls high school top 5 in the 5K, and age group winners in the 10K (20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+).


The 5K race also serves as the CO HS 5K Championships. The top high school boy and girl team will receive an award for the 5K race based off of typical cross country team scoring.

Lunch and Awards



Registration is $20 for all races. Sprinters can run in as many sprint events as they want to for this entry fee. Registration includes a goody bag, and post race lunch.  A raffle and awards ceremony takes place after the race.

All proceeds benefit the CMC Running Club.

Course description:

The 5K does the 5K CMC Loop. The 10K does the loop twice. The 10K will get hydration at the loop restart.

The 200 and 400 events will be held on the soccer field.

The 800 does the CMC 800 meter loop

The 1600 Medley will be run relay style with a 200-200-400-800. The 200s are full laps on the soccer field, the 400 is a two laps on the soccer field, and the 800 is the 800 loop.

Directions to start:

The starting line is south of the Residence Hall on the CMC Soccer field.

Parking:

Park at the campus.
