Thank you for your participation in the Parker Parks and Recreation Department’s fourth annual So Long to Summer 5K held at Salisbury Park this Saturday, August 11, 2012.
The 5K is scheduled to start at 8 a.m. SHARP with check-in beginning ONE HOUR prior to race start time. When arriving atSalisburyPark please make sure to utilize our EAST parking lot first near our START line.
We are anticipating around 250-300 runners so please make sure you give yourself enough time to pick up your bib and race shirt. This race will be timed so it is vital that you get your bib before the race starts. Upon check-in we also ask that you make sure all of your bib information is correct in order to ensure the most accurate results. Since this is a shorter distance race, there will be NO bag check. Just as a reminder, t-shirt size is guaranteed for those who registered by August 1 however, extra t-shirts will be available.
The course consists of a mixture of pavement and trail running. To see the course map please visit our webpage www.ParkerRec.com under our What’s New link. Strollers and dogs on leash are allowed however because of the size of this race, we ask that you stay to the side of the course. This course also utilizes the Cherry Creek Trail which means that it will be open to other runners and cyclists. Please stay to the right of the trail at all times and pass other runners with caution. All participants of this race will start at once so we ask that faster runners are at the front with walkers in the back.
The FREE Kids Dash is scheduled to start at the conclusion of the 5K. Estimated start time for that event is 9:00 a.m. All kids who participate will get a special ribbon of achievement!
After the race, be sure to grab our world famous all-you-can-eat pancakes brought to you by Flippin Flapjacks and check out our vendor booths!
Finally, stick around for our awards ceremony at the conclusion of the event. Awards will be given out to our Overall Male and Female Finisher as well as the Top 2 Finishers in the following age division; 15 and under, 16-29, 30-44, 45-59 and 60+. Door prizes will also be announced at this time!

The start line is located on the S.E. end of the East parking lot.
Parking:
Please enter the east parking lot first. Once this lot is filled participants may use the west parking lot as well as the parking lot located at Motsenbocker.

Prizes will be awarded to our overall male/female finishers as well as the top 2 finishers in each of the following divisions:
15 & Under, 16-29, 30-44, 45-59 and 60+
