| Description: |
The second annual Cheyenne Mountain Trail Race promises to be even better than last year. The beautiful winding trails of Cheyenne Mountain State Park will again be our venue and runners will again choose between the 25k and 50k distances. Expect the same great atmosphere and level of sponsorship support as last year. All that and a one-week-later date promises to make this year's event a blast! |

| Course description: |
The course will be the same as last year's race taking runners through a winding series of trails traversing slightly more than 25k per lap. Each lap has approximately 2500 feet of total climbing. 4 aid stations per lap will be fully stocked with Hammer products, water and plenty of other snacks for the runners. |

| Directions to start: |
The race will start from the main trailhead parking lot at Cheyenne Mountain State Park. The park is accessed from Highway 115 just south of Academy Blvd. The ranger at the entry gate will have a list of participants and entry fees for runners and spectators will be covered with the race entry fee. |

| Parking: |
The parking lot at the starting line will accommodate all participants. Attendants will be on hand to direct racers. |

| Awards info: |
Our cash purse has expanded this year! Cash prizes will be awarded to the top 3 placers, male and female in both the 25k and 50k distances. $300 to first, $200 to second and $100 to 3rd. |

| Packet pickup: |
Race packets will be available for pickup at the downtown location of Colorado Running Company on Tejon from 3:00 to close on Friday April 27th, 2012 and again on race day at the event starting at 6:30am. |
