Event description: The Running Guru 10 k Demo Event is a premier national series that raises awareness about running injuries with proceeds benefiting the Runner Injury Foundation. The event highlights awareness for and the hope that exists for runners who have been experienced an injury while running.

Come join us with over 2500 participants and 500 spectators lining the course. This is a 5K you will not want to miss!

Fundraising:
The Emergency Food Bank, founded in 1968, is the largest direct provider of packaged emergency food in San Joaquin County. Over one thousand people a day are served healthy food from Emergency Food Bank services. Almost four million pounds of food is distributed each year from our main location and 8 pantries in Stockton and San Joaquin County. That equates to almost 200 fully loaded 54’ semi-trailer loads, feeding over one hundred thousand men, women, and children nutritious food each year, without charge. The Food Bank provides food service to 8 satellite pantries throughout the County, over thirty non-profit agencies, treatment centers and to scores of public events related to healthy living and nutrition. We emphasize health, nutrition, food economics and education. All food bags are packaged with an eye to balanced nutrition. The Food Bank provides classes in general nutrition education, healthy meal planning and food preparation.

Athletes are required to choose 1 of the following 3 locations to pick up your bib number and Timing Chip: 1. Pick up at the Start Line in Denver on race morning between 6:00 am and 7:00 am 2. Pick up at the Sage Restaurant and Bar in Idaho Springs on Friday, August 13th between 11:00 am and 8:00 pm 3. Pick up at Runner's Roost Denver on Saturday between 11:00 and 5 pm
