Run/Walk/Hang-Out for Low-Income Seniors! The Move Forward 5K/10K, formally known as the Regis University Physical Therapy Fun Run/Walk, is an event created as a community outreach service project. Proceeds from the event go to The Argyle Foundation, which provides support services to low-income residents of The Argyle Senior Living Center located on 38th Street in Denver. Experienced runners, casual walkers, families, and pets are all welcome to participate. This year’s event will be held on Saturday, September 24th, 2011. Along with raising needed funds for this local non-profit agency, the Move Forward 5K/10K has a number of other goals. These include growing the event to be recognized as an annual Denver race to raise awareness of the role of physical therapists in health promotion and wellness as a kick off to National Physical Therapy Month and to encourage our local community to increase their exercise and physical activities. With the efforts of Regis University’s doctor of physical therapy students and our sponsors, we can make this event a race of choice for the Denver community while simultaneously raising critical funds to support our seniors who live at the Argyle Senior Living Center. Key Points: - Race Day is Saturday, September 24th, 2011 @ Regis University in Denver. - Pre-Race Pasta Dinner and Packet Pick-Up will be held on Friday, September 23rd at The Argyle. - Registration tables will be open at 7:30 the morning of the Race Day for any Race Day Registrations and Packet Pick-Up. - Race starts at 8:50 a.m. - Immediately after the runners/walkers/wheelchair users finish the race, a BBQ, Live Music provided by Suspect, and a Drawing for prizes will be held. - All registrants will be entered into the Drawing, with the Grand Prize being an iPad! - Kids Activities will be available to include Bouncy Houses, a Clown, and Face Painting to name a few. - Can’t make this year’s event but want to Donate to the cause? Directions to start:

The Starting line will be in the parking lot south and west of the Library. The Finish line will be on the quad near the large pine tree.


Parking is available in Lot 6 which is at the corner of Federal and Regis Blvd (50th ave). Enter from Regis Blvd. Handicapped parking will be available, location to be announced.

Additional info

Race Course: 5K and 10K course runs through the North Denver neighborhoods surrounding the Regis Campus. The race will go on rain or shine.

Bibtag timing

Bib tags are being used to time this year and we are including the timing in the entry fee. All numbers will be available the morning of the race.

Packet pickup:

Race packets will be available for pick-up at The Argyle on the evening of 9/23 at our pre-race dinner! Race packets will be available on the day of the race from 7:30 to 8:30 AM. The registration table will be in front of the south entrance to the library.

Registration info:

Cost of entrance includes T-shirt and bibtag timing: bibtags will be handed out the day of the race. Children under 12 need to purchase a T-shirt separately.
