2014 Scream Scram 5K Run/Walk presented by Sam's Club

Get out your costumes, dress up your little monsters and dogs and come out for the FRIGHTFULLY FUN 15th annual Scream Scram 5K Run/Walk presented by Sam's Club. Race through Washington Park in costume (if you choose) and support Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver. It is sure to be a real scream! Everyone is invited to walk the orange carpet beginning at 5:00 p.m. for our costume contest before the kids take off in the 100M Spooky Sneak, a race designed just for them. Prizes will be awarded on Trick or Treat Street at the finish line for best costumes.

Course description:

Enjoy a beautiful autumn evening on an easy, winding course through Wash Park.

Directions to start:

Starting line is located near the SE corner of Wash Park.


Parking is available around the perimeter of the park.

Awards info:

Scream Scram participants who come in costume and are judged on the Orange Carpet before the race start will be eligible for costume contest prizes. Time to get creative!

Who Participates: Everyone is welcome to participate in Scream Scram! Kids of all ages, adults, seniors, families, corporate teams and dogs are all invited to take part in this fun Halloween tradition. Costumes are encouraged and categories include Best Individual, Best Family, Best Group (minimum of 4 team members), Best Child and Best Pet. Additionally, teams of up to 10 can register as an official Scream Team featuring exclusive team incentives. Visit www.screamscram.com for more info.

Chip Timing

Timing chips will b available by request near the registration tent at the start line. You must wear a chip during the event to be timed. Return your chip at the finish line to avoid a penalty.

Packet pickup:

Packet pickup will begin at 4:45 p.m. on race day at registration, located near the start line.
