The courses* utilize the Cherry Creek Regional Trail, are out-and-back, and consist of concrete trail running. This year, the 5K and 10K split and utilize different sections of the trail to reduce crowding. Both will start and finish at the same finish line.
The 5K is flat, has 41 feet of elevation change, and has water stations at approximately mile one and 2.25. The 10K has 162 feet of elevation change, one steep hill in the beginning and end of the course, and water stations at approximately mile 1.5, 2.5, 3.5, and 4.5. The trail is open to other users, so all participants must be in single file and run on the right for safety reasons: to allow other runners to pass and to allow room for returning runners. The event is rain, snow or shine! No refunds will be issued due to weather.
*Courses are subject to change if there is inclement weather.
